Cornell Global Forum on Sustainable Enterprise

Main Navigation

The Cornell Global Forum on Sustainable Enterprise is a catalytic event, part of an experiment to create a continuing dialogue and institution focused on “The Great Convergence.”

The overarching goal of the Forum is to increase on-the-ground work in the next several years and thereby accelerate the rate of change toward “The Great Convergence” in the world. The distinguishing feature of the Cornell Global Forum on Sustainable Enterprise is its focus on bringing together, by invitation, the world’s leading pioneers and practitioners who are actively engaged in disruptive innovation for both clean technology and the base of the pyramid: the Great Convergence. The Cornell Global Forum will focus on two primary objectives:

  • Build a global community of “Great Convergence” change agents
  • Launch new action initiatives to accelerate the rate of “The Great Convergence”

On June 2 and June 3, delegates will participate in a set of carefully designed working sessions, where they will be assigned to task teams in areas of common interest, such as water, IT, food/agriculture, energy, and health. Each team will be given specific assignments and deliverables that will be due at the close of the working sessions.

The opening and closing sessions are designed to reach a broader audience, as an introduction to the field, to expand its supporters, as well as to highlight the leadership of Cornell University and the Johnson School in the area of sustainability, particularly sustainable global enterprise.
