H. Fisk Johnson ’79, MEng ’80, MS ‘82, MBA ’84, PhD ‘86
“Some say linking “global business” and “sustainable development” is an oxymoron, but they would be sorely mistaken. We all share a stake in the future of our global environment and economy, dependent upon the same finite resources and driven by the same hopes for ourselves and our children. A global sustainable enterprise must embrace a new business paradigm built not on incremental change, but on creative destruction and reinvention. Stu Hart and The Johnson School’s leadership behind this Global Forum should prove to be an important step forward for all of us.”
H. Fisk Johnson is Chairman and CEO, and Chairman of the Board of S. C. Johnson & Son, Inc. Fisk is the fifth generation Johnson family leader of the 123-year old company. Since joining SC Johnson in 1987, his responsibilities have included a broad range of marketing and general management positions, both domestically and internationally.
Since 2002, he has served as a member of the President’s Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiation (ACTPN). He is a member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development; Director on the Board of Conservation International (CI); serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board for CI’s Center for Applied Biodiversity Science; serves on the Grocery Manufacturers Association Board; and serves as Trustee Emeritus of Cornell University. Fisk previously served as Director of Energizer Holdings, Inc. and Johnson Outdoors, Inc.
